Exactly as described, made of a strong plastic material. Obvious, glow in the dark backing. We don't have stairs or elevators in our building and so I like that it doesn't list the standard statement of "In case of an emergency, use the stairs and not the elevators."
We ordered this sign - needed it customized with a header as we were using it not to have an evacuation route but rather a map for the fire department to use in case of fire to locate electrical equipment in the basement. The fire department was very pleased with the signage, as well as the bonus of the glow-in-the-dark feature.
